I was somewhat outraged by Rogue saying Magneto killing the Red Skull makes him as bad as him. Not only is it incredibly stupid (I DESPISE the "if you kill him you're no better than him cliché"), but it's an insult to real people who've had to kill in special situations, like soldiers, cops or people in peril. To say that killing a genocidal nazi whose an active threat makes you as bad as him is like saying the soldiers that risked their lives to kill terrorists are as bad as them.
AnonymousI have to say that I think there’s a vast difference between a soldier killing a terrorist in the line of duty and Magneto brutally and with his bare hands dashing the Red Skull’s head to bits with a rock. The latter is well beyond the scope of what is required, and if the soldier in question did something like it, at the very least there’d be a formal inquiry if not a full court martial.
